- Dormancy: Low level of spring dormancy (earliest growing and flowering red clover cultivar currently available).
- Disease Resistance: Highest level of resistance to root-knot nematodes (documented resistance to Meloidogyne arenaria, M.incognita, and M. javanica).
- Yield: Generally the highest yielding cultivar at first harvest in variety evaluation experiments in Florida and the lower Coastal Plains.
- Use: Forage can be used for grazing, hay, or round bale silage and as a green manure crop prior to other row crops.
Description: Southern Belle™ ‘FLMR7’ Red Clover has excellent root-knot nematode resistance and superior powdery mildew resistance. This cultivar also exhibits high dry-matter yields.
