Red Clover Variety
- Dormancy: intermediate between low dormancy cultivars like ‘Southern Belle’ and cultivars developed in the Midwest like ‘Freedom’.
- Disease Resistance: High level of resistance to root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.), soil pest often found in sandy soils of the lower Coastal Plains.
- Yield: Among the highest yielding cultivars tested in variety evaluation experiments in Florida and other locations in the SE USA.
- Use: Forage can be used for grazing, hay, or round bale silage.
Description: ‘Barduro’ is a mid-dormant red clover with high levels of resistance to root-knot nematodes and good productivity and persistence and in mid-south and transition zone.
