Description: TUFRunnerTM ‘727’ is high oleic peanut variety with excellent yield potential and excellent grades with a large runner seed similar to ‘Florida-07’. Disease resistance is one of the primary attributes of TUFRunnerTM ‘727’. It has good resistance to tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) and best in class resistance to white mold, and late leaf spot. As shown in Table 1, TUFRunnerTM ‘727’ lost less than 50% of its yield when white mold was a problem compared to almost 80% yield loss in ‘Georgia-06G’.
